About The Real Deal Guitar Shop
A private vintage guitar collection based in France with international exposure. A particular passion for vintage left-handed guitars and original case candy, within a broader interest in vintage electric guitars.
A collector’s lifelong quest
The Real Deal started in 2004 with a love of electric guitars. Discovering eBay, early guitar forums and auctions opened the door to vintage instruments and a growing knowledge of their history.
Handling the instruments, meeting vintage guitar specialists, travelling and exchanging knowledge with collectors developed that experience over time. The collection includes left-handed and right-handed instruments, alongside the manuals, catalogs, price lists and hang tags originally supplied with guitars.
A collection first
Despite the name, The Real Deal Guitar Shop is a private collection, not a conventional retail store. Most guitars are kept, played and studied. Selected instruments and pieces of case candy are occasionally offered for sale.

How the reference guide is prepared
The illustrated vintage guitar guide connects observable features with period references and credited photographs. Source links accompany the technical sections. A serial number or one correct component cannot establish that an entire guitar is original: construction, finish, hardware, electronics and history must agree.
